What to Expect
Schedule a consultation call or your first session
The first step is to schedule a free 15minute consultation call or a first session.
The consultation call is an opportunity to get clear on what you might want from therapy and how I might help you. It also may help us get a sense of each other and if we would like to work together.
If you already know you want to work with me - go ahead and schedule a first session.
Complete the Intake Form and Consent Form
When you schedule a session you will receive 2 forms to fill out.
The Intake Form - This set of questions helps me understand your context and concerns so I can start shaping a nuanced understanding of who you are and what you are facing and tailor our work together from the get go.
The Consent Form - This form includes important information about my practice, your rights as a client, and the limits of confidentiality
We meet for our first session
First sessions tend to be a bit different than the rest of our work together.
Here I will be getting to know you and the challenge you are facing.
We will shape our work together - for some people this means setting clear goals together, for other folks it can mean exploring areas of growth and change.
We will discuss the general approach we will take in tackling the challenges you are facing.
