  • sychotherapy focuses on healing mental health concerns and emotional distress, often exploring past experiences, trauma, and patterns to support deep psychological change.


    Counselling is typically shorter-term and problem-focused, helping people cope with specific life challenges, decisions, or stressors.

    ***psychotherapy and counselling services are only offered to BC Residence


    Coaching is future-oriented and goal-driven, supporting people to improve performance, skills, or leadership without treating mental health conditions.

  • Virtually through Jane app or zoom or over the phone.

  • Please contact the office directly @ info@work-therapy.ca or by texting 778-355-0268. Please do not use the Jane app booking system to book this session.

  • We do no provide direct billing but will provide a receipt for reimbursement.

    If your benefits include counselling through GreenShield Health or Family Services Employment Assistance Program your sessions are paid through these services.

    Please access these service through the respective companies and request Amanda Thiessen by name.

  • Amanda waits 15 minutes before leaving the session and then send you an email to check in. If you know you are going to be more than 15 minutes late, please text or email.

  • Please let the office know at least 24hrs before your appointment if you need to reschedule or cancel the appointment. Amanda often has a waitlist and appreciates the heads up so she can offer the spot to someone else.

    Life happens and sometimes it just doesn’t workout to come to session. If you miss a session without a 24hr cancellation notification - no problem. If it happens regularly, you will be charged the regular rate for the session.

    If you are a client through FSEAP or GreenShield Health a late cancelation costs you a session.
